My passion for video games began in the late 1970s with the Atari 2600 and Magnavox Odyssey, but it truly took off with the NES. Since then, I've owned many Nintendo consoles and handhelds, along with a fascination for PlayStation, particularly Resident Evil.
Early on, I wanted to become a game developer, but without modern game engines, training, or resources, it wasn't feasible. Years later, I started experimenting with Unity, creating Super Mario Bros. and Legend of Zelda clones, both of which had working mechanics and level designs. I later repeated the process in GameMaker but grew frustrated since I couldn't share these projects legally. Seeking originality, I briefly worked on The Adventures of Timmy before realizing my true passion—horror games.
To achieve the realism I envisioned, I switched to Unreal Engine 5. Though still a beginner, I spent months learning before committing to a project. Now, I have 25-30% of my story written and core mechanics planned. While I'll use purchased assets where necessary, all levels and structures will be of my own design, built with modular assets to ensure originality.
As a computer engineer, I've always been drawn to the fusion of technology and storytelling. Unreal Engine 5's capabilities, particularly Lumen and Nanite, align with my vision for immersive experiences. My current project, The Haunting of Edgewood Manor, blends atmospheric horror with investigative gameplay. Through game development, I aim to push technical boundaries and create engaging experiences that resonate with players.
Step into the shoes of a paranormal investigator in this atmospheric first-person horror exploration game. Set in the abandoned Edgewood Manor, players uncover the dark history of this once-prestigious estate through detailed investigation mechanics and environmental storytelling.
Key Features:
Built with Unreal Engine 5, the game leverages cutting-edge features like Lumen for dynamic global illumination and Nanite for unprecedented geometric detail, creating a truly immersive horror experience.
Development Status: This project is in early development. All images, footage, and story elements shown here are preliminary and subject to change throughout the development process.
