QuietWire Dev is the open source identity of Dennis Ayotte. The focus is on building reliable, self-hosted tools for infrastructure management. No cloud dependencies, no telemetry, no licensing fees. Just tools that work and stay out of your way.

PatchMan

Coming Soon

A lightweight, self-hosted Linux patch management system with a centralized web dashboard. Monitor patch levels and deploy updates across multiple Linux machines from a single console. Manage Docker Compose stacks, detect container image updates, and pull new versions with one click. All over SSH, no agents required.

Development Status: PatchMan is in active development and approximately 60-70% complete toward a v1.0 release. Core features (scanning, patching, Docker management, Help/FAQ) are built and running in production. Remaining work includes authentication, dynamic host management, a settings UI, and open source preparation (first-run wizard, sanitized configuration, contribution guidelines).

About the name: QuietWire Dev is a separate identity focused on open source tooling. The projects are built by the same person behind Ayotte Consulting, but the open source work stands on its own. This page exists so readers here know who is behind it.
